Need for Speed Rivals is a video racing game created in collaboration with Ghost Games and Criterion Games and released through Electronic Arts. The players play the part of a Racer or a Cop in each of the two sides of the law having an individual style of play.
Rivals include eleven upgrades to tools, such as EMPs and shockwaves, as well as spike strips and the capability to summon roadblocks. The game is set in a fictional area that is known as Redview County. The open-world environment is the same set-up as Most Wanted, with several jumping points, speed traps and unlockable cars along with shortcuts that aren’t shown on the map.
