Sims 2 follows the Sims 2 the same concept that its predecessor did: players are in control of their Sims throughout various games and build friendships in a similar way to the real world. Sims 2 is similar to its predecessor in that it follows the same rules.
Sims 2, like its predecessor, does not have any specific goal in mind and the game is a bit more open. Sims have goals in their lives desires, needs and anxieties that if fulfilled could result in positive or negative results. Every Sim ages, and they can last up to 90 Sim days, based on how much their goals are met.
